bwSync&Share
bwSync&Share enables users to synchronize or exchange their data between different computers and mobile devices.In addition to the hardware-independent web interface, different clients are available (Windows/Mac desktop, apps for Android/iPhone).
With that, bwSync&Share is a powerful service for synchronizing and sharing desktop data.

bwSync&Share offers the possibility to access data jointly and to exchange it with other users or to edit it together. By inviting to a folder, a personal storage quota is made available to the invited party in accordance with the granted authorization. You can also send links to download files or folders. It has been operated at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) since January 1, 2014. Information about the service can be found here.
This service can only be used if the following preconditions are fulfilled:
Access to bwSync&Share for members of Helmholtz centers is regulated by membership in a center service VO. In order for members of a Helmholtz center to use the bwSync&Share service, a center service VO of the form \center_abbreviation_bwSyncShare must exist in the Helmholtz AAI. See bwSync&Share documentation for detailed information about service center VOs.
The preconditions are already fulfilled by: gfm, ipek-acm, qualicampusbw, HelmholtzDataHub
Enabled centres/groups can use the service as follows:
Click the Button "Go to service" and login via the Helmholtz ID. Your account will be provisioned automatically.
we only allow max. 10 GB Upload per file
Backups only for desaster recovery. We have daily snapshots of the storage and storage is fully replicated to a second site for disaster recovery. Backups of the database twice a day. Restoration of user data is limited by encryption.
