TransCrypt is a web-app for sending large files, quickly and securely. The files are available for a limited amount of time and receivers, as chosen by the sender. TransCrypt can handle files of any size and allows end-to-end encryption.

TransCrypt by DKFZ for Helmholtz.Cloud is an installation of the FileSender project (filesender.org) which is a web based application that allows authenticated users to securely and easily send arbitrarily large files to other users. Users without an account can be sent an upload voucher by an authenticated user.

FileSender is developed to the requirements of the higher education and research community.

The purpose of the software is to send a large file to someone, have that file available for download for a certain number of downloads and/or a certain amount of time, and after that automatically delete the file.

The software is not intended as a permanent file publishing platform.

How to get Access

This service requires no preconditions to be fulfilled before service usage.

Click the Button "Go to service" and login via the Helmholtz ID. Your account will be provisioned automatically.

Limitations

• The maximum storage space per user is one terabyte.

Backups:

Due to the nature of the service, no backup of the uploaded data is created, as it is always considered to be a copy of locally stored data.
